Quiet village located at the nothern boundary of the Venetian lagoon, Jesolo displays an extremely developed coast line with modern and well equipped beaches and with its many squares lined up along the coast from east to west.
The Promenade along via Bafile and the other roads of the town centre is in fact one of the highlights, through piazza Drago, whose name comes from the dragon depicted in the emblem of the Town Hall, designed after World War II in order to divert and manage the incoming car traffic, onto piazza Triestewith the parish church ofSanta Maria Ausiliatrice decorated with the large frescos-icons of the Last Judgement and of the Last Supper by Aurel Jonescu.
Then piazza Brescia with the lovely round fountain, piazza Aurora that became in 1984 an elegant amphitheatre, piazza Trento with the church of the Sacro Cuore and the central piazza Mazzini up to the 60s core of the social lives of worker’s families living in this eastern part of the coast and nowadays cosmopolitans center.
